On Thursday, Hudikeri in Ponnampet taluk witnessed a record 220 mm while Srimangala received 210 mm. As many as seven places, including Napoklu and Virajpet saw more than 100 mm of rain.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Triveni Sangama, the confluence of Cauvery, Kannike and the mythical Sujyoti rivers at Bhagamandala, submerged for the third time in the last four weeks. The garden on its premises and the roads are also submerged.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The swollen Kakkabe stream has hit traffic on Napoklu-Virajpet and Napoklu-Murnadu roads.</p>.<p class="bodytext">There’s no let up for the hilly district. The met department has a heavy to very heavy rain forecast for Kodagu on Friday. As much as 44,158 cusec of water was discharged from the dam.
