<p>Bengaluru: If politics and religion are mixed for vote bank, the world or India will have no redemption, Reverend Father Edward Thomas said. </p>.<p>He was speaking at the 33rd Hussain Day programme held at Shia Grounds near Johnson Market on Sunday, under the theme of 'Solidarity with the Oppressed'. </p>.<p>The theme was chosen due to the ongoing wars across the world. </p>.<p>Thomas, who is founder-director of Bengaluru-based nonprofit Dream India Network, urged unity of all religious leaders for the return of peace to the world. </p>.<p>"We have given all our religious texts such as the Qur'an, the Vedas and the Bible to political leaders and it is very dangerous. The leaders cannot interpret the religious text.
