<p class="bodytext">Forest Department officials arrested two persons for illegally transporting sandalwood worth Rs 10 lakh in Banavara Reserve Forest.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The sandalwood and the vehicle used for transportation have been seized.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Based on accurate information, the Forest Department staff under the guidance of Somwarpet RFO Lakshmikanth, Banavara DRFO Mahadeva Nayak and other staff conducted a raid in Chikka Aluvara in Torenuru Gram Panchayat limits and arrested Shivarajkumar and Dilip of Chikka Aluvara village.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Two more persons involved in the transportation of sandalwood, Nagarahu Arisinaguppe and Nagaraju from Aluvara village are absconding.</p>.<p class="bodytext">A case has been registered.</p>
