<p>Forest Department officials have seized sandalwood worth Rs 1 lakh which was being illegally felled and transported from Attur Reserve Forest in Northern Kodagu.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The motorbike used by the accused was also confiscated by the officials on Monday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The accused, Madhu (33) from Hadre Heruru village and Ravindra alias Anni (32) ran from the spot leaving behind the motorbike and the sandalwood.</p>.<p class="bodytext">About 20kg sandalwood has been seized. A case has been registered under the Forest Act.</p>
