Shock awaited Reddy as he woke up

Simultaneous raids on OMC MD Srinivas Reddys house; wives of both Reddys questioned

The CBI simultaneously raided the Srinagar residence of Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director of Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC), in which Janardhana Reddy is a partner.  
The CBI team, led by DIG V V Lakshminarayana, raided the houses of the duo simultaneously at 6 am.

After inspecting the documents for nearly one hour, they were arrested at 6.58 am and taken to Hyderabad via Guntakal and Gutti. The CBI team conducted the raids, with help from the local police.

The team seized crucial documents from Janardhana Reddy’s residence. Soon after Reddy got ready, he was taken in a silver coloured Innova car, bearing the registration number ‘AP-24 AK-0252,’ to the residence of Srinivas Reddy.

From there, both the Reddys were taken to Hyderabad.

Speaking to reporters, Lakshminarayana only said Janardhana Reddy and Srinivas Reddy had been arrested with regard to the OMC case. The CBI team of 10 officials, comprised Superintendent of Police Venkateshulu and special officer R M Khan.

Janardhana Reddy’s wife Lakshmi Aruna and Srinivas Reddy’s wife Srilatha and their other relatives were quizzed by the CBI team in their houses till evening.

Crucial documents were seized during the raids. Substantial amount of cash and gold articles have also been recovered.
