The Congress coordination committee, headed by AICC General Secretary (Karnataka Incharge) Digvijay Singh, will hold its first meeting by the month end, Congress leader D K Shivakumar said on Tuesday.

Shivakumar, a committee member, said KPCC president G Parameshwara and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah have spoken to Singh and agreed to meet after October 15. The State Congress chief, Chief Minister, Home Minister K J George and AICC Secretary (Karnataka in-charge) A Chella Kumar are other members.

The party high command set up the panel to have a leash on Siddaramaiah government following complaints from some senior State leaders that the chief minister was taking major policy decision unilaterally.

Shivakumar, however, dismissed as rumours, reports in a section of the media, that about 20 disgruntled Congress legislators have written to Digvijay Singh complaining about Siddaramaiah’s style of functioning.
