Actor Sumalatha has said that she would contest the Lok Sabha elections from Mandya and a formal announcement in this regard would be made in Bengaluru on Monday.
Speaking to reporters during her district tour on Sunday, Sumalatha said that she had toured across the district seeking opinion of the people.
"I have met a lot of farmers, women and youths during my visit in the district. Everyone has treated me with a lot of affection and expressed their opinions. Ambareesh’s fans are behind me. BJP leaders have not yet expressed their opinion on supporting me in the elections. I had sought the support of veteran leader S M Krishna. Everything will fall in place soon”, she said.
