<p>Chamarjanagar: A survey has already been conducted, by visiting around 17 lakh houses in Karnataka state, belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) communities, said P Maninvannan, Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department.</p><p>Chairing a progress review meeting, at the ZP hall, in Chamarajanagar, he said, "Around 22 lakh SC families have been estimated. The survey is expected to be completed in one week. Many fear that the government schemes would be cancelled, which is wrong, he clarified.</p><p>Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Nag said that they visited the spot, where the survey was being conducted. "The teachers are doing well. The officials are supervising and providing necessary guidance," she said.</p>
