<p>They condemned the decision of the National Highway Construction Authority to demolish the temple to widen the National Highway 4.<br /><br />They alleged that though the demolition work has been dropped according to Union Minister Muniyappa’s direction, the official concerned have marked the compound to demolish.<br /><br />Tahshildar S M Mangala rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the agitators. The officer promised to take further action only after holding a meeting headed by the Deputy Commissioner.
