<p>Hubballi: To cater to the growing demand for the Hubballi-Bengaluru sector, Indigo has decided to operate another flight between the two cities from next month.</p><p>The airline has been operating two ATR flights on the route every morning and evening for many years. But the increasing demand for the sector has prompted Indigo to add another flight. Thus, it announced the new flight in its summer schedule.</p><p>Most of the times the flights on these routes are overbooked, as the airline operates ATR flight (78 seater). </p><p>Therefore, the passengers are forced to book much earlier to get a confirmed seat or they have to opt for another mode of transport.</p><p>According to Indigo Hubballi station manager Sachin Shetti, the Hubballi-Bengaluru route is more popular. </p><p>Following high demand, a third flight will be introduced from March 30 and sales are open now. This will cater to the demand of passengers, he said.</p><p>People for job, business, education, government work, medical treatment, to catch international connecting flights and other purposes travel between these two cities. Though there are two daily flights, the demand is increasing day by day. Even people won’t get tickets on trains and buses too. The passengers have been demanding Airbus on this route, and Indigo has responded to the demand. </p><p>Indigo, the solo operator from the City, has been flying Airbus between Hubballi and Mumbai, and Hubballi and New Delhi for quite some time and there is a good flow of passengers between these cities, the officials informed. </p><p><strong>Ahmedabad flight</strong></p><p>People, especially businessmen, have been demanding to resume the Hubballi-Ahmedabad flight service, which was suspended during Covid-19 pandemic. Due to various reasons, Indigo has not yet resumed the flight and it is expected to be reintroduced this summer. </p><p>As per Indigo officials, Ahmedabad route is in loop and they are working on it. Soon they will operate an Airbus to Ahmedabad from Hubballi.</p>
