Three killed in highway car crash

Three people were killed when their car, crashed into an approaching lorry at Hindasageri, K B cross, Tiptur taluk in Tumakuru district, on Thursday night.

The deceased have been identified as Vinay Kumar (22) of Chitradurga, Thippeswamy (40) of Sira taluk and Aravind (32) of Bengaluru.

Diwakar of Bengaluru, the fourth passenger in the car, was seriously injured and is being treated at a Bengaluru hospital.

All four passengers were employees of a Bengaluru-based firm and had been to Shivamogga to attend at a colleague's marriage. The mishap occurred on their return to Bengaluru, according to Kibbanahalli sub-inspector Ram Prasad.
