A 10-year-old male tiger was found dead in the Kundukere range of Bandipur Tiger Reserve (BTR) on Sunday.
Forest personnel, who were on patrol, found the decomposed caracass of the big cat. According to forest authorities, the tiger had suffered injuries on one of its limbs and hence could not hunt. They suspect that the tiger died of starvation around eight days ago.
