Last Updated 25 January 2017, 20:31 IST

BJP leader K S Eshwarappa said on Wednesday that the rift between him and state party president B S Yeddyurappa would soon be over.

Eshwarappa told reporters that the issues would be sorted out at a meeting called by the central leaders of the party in New Delhi on Thursday.

Eshwarappa is in Kudalasangama to take part in a convention of the Sangolli Rayanna Brigade, with which he is associated, on Thursday.

He took a veiled dig at legislators close to Yeddyurappa, who have launched a signature campaign against him. Only 28 out of the 668 delegates who took part in the party’s executive committee meet in Kalaburagi had signed the document against him. Such campaigns had noplace in a disciplined party like the BJP, he said.
