The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) postponed the MTech second-semester examination scheduled for Friday without informing the students.

This is the second time in recent months that the university has postponed a scheduled exam without intimating students through their colleges.

The MTech exam, originally scheduled to be held between 2 pm and 5 pm, will now be held on July 19 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Other exams will be held as scheduled. While the decision to postpone the exam was taken by the VTU exam section headed by Registrar (Evaluation) Satish Annigeri, colleges were not informed during office hours on Thursday.

Vice Chancellor Karisiddappa said he would seek an explanation from the registrar (evaluation) about the postponement of the exam and why students were not intimated through their colleges.
