'LoP or Nishan-e-Pakistan?': BJP slams Rahul as latter attacks EAM Jaishankar over 'foreign policy collapse'

New Delhi: A day after Asking the Prime Minister to "stop giving hollow speeches", Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Friday brought External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on the line of fire once again claiming that India's foreign policy has "collapsed" even as the BJP asked him to decide if he is "India's Leader of Opposition or Pakistan's Nishan-e-Pakistan".

Sharing an edited version of Jaishankar's interview on 'X', Rahul asked the minister to explain- "Will JJ explain: Wwhy has India been hyphenated with Pakistan? Why didn’t a single country back us in condemning Pakistan? Who asked Trump to 'mediate' between India & Pakistan?"

"India’s foreign policy has collapsed," he said.

Earlier, Rahul had accused Jaishankar of giving Pakistan prior information about 'Operation Sindoor', an allegation rebutted by the Ministry of External Affairs as "utter misrepresentation of facts".

On Thursday, he attacked PM Narendra Modi saying, "Modi-ji, stop giving hollow speeches. Just tell me: 1. Why did you believe Pakistan's statement on terrorism? 2. Why did you sacrifice India's interests by bowing to Trump? 3. Why does your blood boil only in front of cameras?"

Targeting Rahul, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said, "Rahul Gandhi, you decide which side you are on. You have to decide whether you are India's leader of opposition or Pakistan's Nishan-e-Pakistan."

Bhatia told reporters that Rahul was "undermining" the armed forces' valour and "jeopardising" the country's security by making "irresponsible remarks" about 'Operation Sindoor'.

Insisting that Rahul's comments should not be dismissed as "juvenile behaviour", he claimed, "it has been the core character of Rahul Gandhi to intentionally ask such questions, taking forward the agenda of nations which are inimical to our country."
