<p>In a recent incident, a video has been making rounds on the internet wherein several angry SpiceJet passengers forced a staffer to eat biryani, which was reportedly served to them after their flight was delayed and also claimed that it was unfit for consumption, several publications reported.</p><p>The incident reportedly took place two weeks ago during a flight delay at the Pune airport, media reports said.</p><p>As seen in the video, the ground staff was forced to eat the food served by the airline during the flight delay, the video, sparking a debate online.</p><p>A passenger, forcing him to eat the food, could be heard saying Are we dogs? Eat this food in front of us.”</p>. <p>Seeing the infuriated passengers, the staffer ate the food only to ensure that the passengers calmed down, but things did not go as planned. He tasted the food, claimed it was fine, leading the passengers to become more furious.</p><p>As the beleaguered ground staff attempted to walk away, the passenger angrily told him to sit down quietly, ensuring the confrontation was not over. The passenger said, “Don’t mess with my head, just sit down quietly.”</p> .<p>The airline has addressed the controversy and backed their employee. Quoting the airline, an <em>India Today</em> <a href="https://www.indiatoday.in/trending-news/story/spicejet-passengers-force-staff-to-eat-biryani-airline-reacts-to-viral-video-2742545-2025-06-18" rel="nofollow">report</a> said, “We strongly deny the claims being made in connection with the video in question. The food served was fresh and of good quality. It was sourced from an authorised vendor who supplies packaged meals to multiple airlines and the airport terminal.”</p><p>Further, the report also mentioned that SpiceJet defended the conduct of their staff, saying, “Our staff remained respectful and professional despite facing verbal abuse and unwarranted physical conduct.
