Amid India seeing a renewed flurry of Covid-19 cases, sights of people resorting to face masks and sanitisers is also making a comeback. Amidst all this, a video has emerged of Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani sanitising the hands of the IPL team players' before shaking hands with them.

After the Mumbai Indians' IPL match against Delhi Capitals, Nita Ambani was seen asking her team players including Jasprit Bumrah to sanitise their hands before indulging in handshakes.

Bumrah smiled and obliged his franchise owner's instructions and spread out his palm.

After Bumrah, Ambani moved on to do the same to other players including Karn Sharma and others.

Meanwhile, a recent survey has revealed that 22 per cent of households in Maharashtra currently have one or more individuals with symptoms of Covid/flu/viral fever, a community social media platform said on Thursday. Maharashtra recorded 26 Covid-19 positive cases on Wednesday, taking the total number of positive cases registered since January 2025 to 132, according to state health authorities.

As for coronavirus cases in the country, several states have reported mild cases of the infection but health authorities have allayed fears and said there is no need to panic and people just need to stay vigilant.

Those having a cough and cold should avoid going outdoors, health officials said.
