<p>Mumbai: NCP (SP) supremo Sharad Pawar once again ruled out any alliance with the NCP led by his nephew Ajit Pawar. Virtually closing the issue, he stated that he would never support the BJP-led alliance.</p><p>“We will never align with a BJP-led alliance," Sharad Pawar told reporters in Nagpur.</p><p>During the 26th anniversary celebrations of the NCP (SP), in June, the senior Pawar said, “The party faced some challenges, but you, without getting discouraged, continue to take the party ahead. Don't worry about power. If we remain united, power will follow. I can see that possibility emerging in the state. A different picture will prevail in the coming elections.” </p>.'We are no saints to sit in opposition': NCP's Ajit Pawar on joining hands with BJP.<p>Pawar’s remarks come after the meeting of the opposition INDIA alliance which took place earlier this month. Top leaders of the opposition bloc including Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge were present at the gathering. </p><p>Shiv Sena (UBT) head Uddhav Thackeray too was present during the deliberations. </p><p>Sharad Pawar lamented that Thackeray's seating at a dinner meeting, hosted by Rahul Gandhi, has become an unnecessary controversy.</p><p>"There was a PowerPoint presentation. When we watch a movie on screen, we don't sit in front but at the back. Farooq Abdullah and I sat at the back. Similarly, Uddhav Thackeray and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah were also seated at the back to watch the presentation properly," he said.</p><p>Further, Sharad Pawar mentioned that the Opposition is yet to decide its stand on the Vice-Presidential election slated for September 9.</p>
