The rains brought the mercury levels down bringing huge respite from the heat.</p>.<p>Despite the city receiving only a moderate rainfall on Wednesday, central Mumbai areas of Hindmata and Dadar reeled under immense traffic jam due to waterlogging on roads.</p>.<p>A Jet Airways flight from London to Mumbai was diverted to Ahmedabad airport due to rain.</p>.<p>The rainfall can be attributed to the trough running along the west coast, from Konkan to coastal Karnataka. With the trough getting intense, the intensity of rains is likely to increase in the next two to three days.</p>.<p>According to Skymet Weather, Mumbai has to take utmost caution, particularly in the next three days.</p>.<p>“Some heavy to very heavy rain is likely to deluge the city. These rains are most likely to hit normal life, with the threat of flash flooding and waterlogging looming large over the city,” a forecast said.</p>
