Pregnant woman rescued from salt pan

In Vasai’s Mithagar salt pan locality, more than 300 people continue to be stranded and move out.

However, a pregnant woman, some kids and senior citizens were rescued and escorted to a safe location.

The rescue teams which had doctors administered medicine to the lady after which she was taken to a hospital as labour pains developed.

Around 10 people, who were working on a garden near a temple in Manickpur at Gaas Road, were rescued by the Fire Brigade.
