Last Updated 13 February 2012, 18:41 IST

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reportedly taken into custody an Indore–based man, identified as Kamal Chouhan, for his alleged role in the 2007 train attack.

Chouhan is said to be one of the four men who planted bombs on the Delhi–Lahore Samjhauta Express on February 18, 2007, that killed 68 people.

The questioning of the accused is underway. The NIA has taken over some of the cases with alleged “saffron terror links” and is trying to establish their role in some of the major bomb blasts in the country.

The NIA has already named Swami Aseemanand, Sadhvi Pragya, Sunil Joshi (now dead), Sandeep Dange, Lokesh Sharma and Ramchandra Kalasangra alias Ramji  in the Samjhauta Express blast.

Aseemanand and Sunil Joshi have RSS backgrounds and Chouhan is also being allegedly linked to the Nagur outfit.
