Tibetan prime minister sets up cabinet

Prime Minister Lobsang Sangay introduced the six on the first day of the inaugural session of the 15th Tibetan parliament-in-exile.

Sangay told reporters that he was "happy and thankful for the confidence that the parliamentarians have showed in him".

The new ministers are Dongchung Ngodup, Tsering Dhundup, Pema Chhinjor, Dolma Gyari, Dicki Chhoyang and Tsering Wangchuk.

Former minister of security Ngodup and former minister of finance Dhondup have been retained.

Based in Dharamsala, the government-in-exile is not recognized by any country. There are about 140,000 Tibetans in exile, over 100,000 of them in India.
