<p>The duo were arrested during a joint search operation at Tantraypora, Rahpora, Asthanpora and Hajampora Mohalla localities in Palhalan area of Pattan, 30 kms from here, they said.<br /><br />The arrested have been identified as Hilal Ahmad Rather of Palhalan and Showkat Ahmad Mir of Sumbal in nearby Bandipora district.<br /><br />The search operation was conducted by police and 29 Rashtriya Rifles, they said, adding one pistol, one magazine, five rounds and two hand grenades were seized from them.<br />A case under the Arms Act has been registered against Rather and Mir, who were both locally trained militants, they added.</p>
