Two women trampled to death

While Budin Maku Hansda (60) was trampled to death by a elephant at Turka, Soni Hembram (55) was killed in a similar fashion in neighbouring Bhoktadih village, Divisional Forest Officer of Dumka, Sanjay Kumar Suman said.

Both the women were attacked when they were going to field in the morning.

Suman said the women might be killed by the same elephant which had killed a man in Dalhi village about three weeks ago.

The elephant was moving around Sikaripara area after it strayed from a herd recently, he said.
