<p>Scientists of department of atomic energy have developed a unique "security ink" which can be detected by a special machine, already available with the government, that scans the currency and differentiates between the real and fake ones.<br /><br />"We now have a security ink that will help us detect fake Indian notes that comes from across the border and is difficult to detect as it resembles the real notes, a senior forensic expert said.<br /><br />"The ink has been developed indigenously by a multi-disciplinary nuclear research centre here. It can be detected by a special machine," he said.<br /><br />"Locally made fake notes are easy to detect. But it is difficult to detect the high quality fake currency coming from Pakistan, which are replicas of RBI's paper money. They are so real that they have made their way into the nationalised banks," the expert said. <br /></p>
