The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday stopped activists on a communal harmony mission to Muzaffarnagar riot -affected areas.
Paschim Pradesh Nirman Morcha, UP, in the wake of the Muzaffarnagar communal violence, had organised a ‘Sadbhavana Yatra’ which started afternoon from Jantar Mantar.
As soon as it reached Delhi-UP border near Ghaziabad in the evening, the UP police did not allow them to proceed further on the ground that Section 144 CrPC was in force.
