<p>Barabanki: Uttar Pradesh Police, probing allegations by a woman from Barabanki that a man engaged in sexual relations with her on false promise to marry, arrested three from a family under the 'love jihad' law, officials said on Saturday.</p>.<p>The 30-year-old woman alleged in her complaint that a man identifying as "Samar Singh" allegedly promised to marry her and called her to a hotel in Lucknow where they had sexual relations.</p>.<p>During the investigation, police said the man was identified as 31-year-old Prayagraj resident, Zeeshan.</p>.<p>The woman also accused him of taking Rs 1.5 lakh from her in instalments after his false promise to marry. His sister and brother-in-law were also arrested for allegedly taking gold jewellery from her.</p>.Girl foils her kidnapping bid; attacks driver with geometry compass, jumps out of moving rickshaw.<p>In her complaint filed on July 8, the woman said she started talking to "Samar Singh" about a year ago.</p>.<p>Later, they got into a fight, but on April 11, they resumed talking, she said.</p>.<p>His sister Shivli Khan (34) and brother-in-law Nadeem Qureshi (36), both residents of Lucknow, were also arrested for allegedly identifying as Hindus and taking gold jewellery from the complainant.</p>.<p>Kotwali police station's SHO RK Rana said the police also recovered the mobile phones of the accused. Soon, a chargesheet will be prepared and presented to the court, he said.</p>.<p>A case has been registered under sections 69 (sexual intercourse by employing deceitful means), 318(2) (cheating) and 61(2) (a party to a criminal conspiracy) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita and Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act in Kotwali police station.</p>.<p>‘Love jihad’ is a term often used by right-wing activists to allege a ploy by Muslim men to lure Hindu women into religious conversion through marriage. </p>
