<p>Lucknow: Forty one days after being expelled from the party over his ‘arrogance’ and ‘selfishness’, BSP supremo Mayawati on Sunday took her nephew Akash Anand back into the party after he <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/uttar-pradesh/mayawatis-nephew-akash-apologises-seeks-re-entry-into-bsp-3492157">publicly tendered an apology</a>, saying that she was giving him ‘one more chance’ but made it clear that she would not declare any one her political heir as long as she was healthy.</p><p>Mayawati’s change of heart came following Akash tendered an apology on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) stating that he sought forgiveness of the BSP supremo whom he considered his only ‘political guru’ and ‘ideal’.</p>.Dalit man's murder in Karchana sad and worrying: Mayawati.<p>‘’I will make sure that I will never take any advice from his relatives and advisors for his political decisions and only follow the instructions of Mayawati....I will respect the elders and old guards of the party,’’ he said.</p><p>Akash appealed to Mayawati to forgive him and give him an opportunity to work for the BSP for which he would remain ‘indebted’ to her ‘forever’.</p><p>A few hours after Akash’s apology, Mayawati posted a statement on her ‘X’ handle saying that she had decided to give Akash ‘one more chance’ as he had tendered a public apology and promised to work for the party and not follow the advices of his father-in-law Ashok Siddharth, who had been expelled from the BSP earlier.</p>.Mayawati questions Rahul's silence on Waqf Bill during Parliament debate.<p>Mayawati made it clear that she would not declare any one her political heir as long as she was healthy.</p><p>The BSP supremo had last month expelled Akash, once declared her political heir, a day after sacking him as national coordinator of the party and within hours of his lengthy post on social media reiterating his loyalty to her.</p><p>Akash Anand has been stripped of his post for the second time in a year. Last year also he was sacked as the BSP national coordinator only to be reinstated a few months later.</p><p>She had then said that no one would be declared her successor till she was alive. She also said that the party leaders welcomed the decision. ‘’I have decided that no successor will be declared till I am alive....relations, family don’t matter before party interests.....for me the party comes first,’’ she had said.</p>
