The Lord Venkateswara temple in Amaravati will be ready in next two years, said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday.

His assurance came after the Bhookarshanam and Beejaavapanam ceremony took place during auspicious Meena Lagnam between 9.15 am and 9.40 am in village Venkatapalem. The grand temple coming up on 25 acres of land, is estimated to cost Rs150 crore.
After the ceremony, the CM addressed a huge gathering of devotees. “The intention is to spread Venkateswara Bhakti cult across the country. Temples already exist in Kurukshetra and Kanniyakumari, while they are proposed at Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Sitampeta, Parvathipuram and Rampachodavaram,” the chief minister said.
Naidu hailed the services of volunteers as impeccable at various levels in Tirumala and Tirupati.
The temple site wore a festive look as Srinivasa Kalyanam and other ceremonies were performed with religious fervour.
