Janasamparka Sabha: 292 complaints received

The hobli-level Janasamparka Sabha (meeting) was being organised to take the administration near to the people, said MLA C T Ravi.

He was presiding over during the hobli-level Janasamparka meeting, organised jointly by the district administration and zilla panchayat, at Lakhya in Chikkamagaluru taluk on Friday.

“The poor should not be deprived of facilities extended by the government. Those who are not included in Anila Bhagya scheme should get LPG connection under Ujwala scheme.”

Zilla Panchayat president Sujatha Krishnappa said the Zilla Panchayat would organise Janasamparka meeting in all the hoblis (in the district) under the chairmanship of MLAs.

ZP Chief Executive Officer C Satyabhama said, “About 90% of the applications received during the Janasamparka meeting at Doranalu, Megunda, Khandya and Panchanahalli have been cleared.”

She said that all the houses in rural areas would be supplied water by 2022.

“More works will be taken up under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme,” she added.

The meeting was attended by residents from 10 gram panchayats including Sindigeri, Kalasapura, Machenahalli and K B Hal.

The meeting received 292 complaints relating to the pathetic condition of roads, repair of water tanks, delay in the release of pension for the aged, illegal encroachment of government land and so on.

The villagers demanded eviction of encroachment on the land belonging to a government school in K B Hal, completion of Shuddha Ganga drinking water units at Belavadi and Machenahalli, repair of the water tank at Machenahalli, repair of roads at Kurubarahalli, Dharmapura, Kabbanahalli, S Bidare and Karadigavi.
