Leopard spotted in Mysuru

The Forest department has placed a cage to trap a leopard that was spotted near BEML factory in Hebbal on the outskirts of the city on Saturday.

The passersby, who noticed the leopard on Saturday, alerted the Forest department, who have taken measures to capture it. Speaking to DH, Range Forest Officer Devaraju, said, “Incidents of leopard sighting have been reported near BEML factory in Hebbal often. As the department has placed a cage to trap the leopard, there is no need for the residents to panic,” he said.

Meanwhile, a picture of a leopard near a motorbike has gone viral on the social media. While a few claim that the picture of the leopard was taken at Chamundi Hill, others claim that it was near Chorla Ghat in Goa or Sindhudurg district in Maharashtra.
