In today’s fast-paced world, the desperation to earn more has made life seem like a race but a sedentary lifestyle has made them fall prey to infertility.

Many lifestyle mistakes, such as the age at which people get married (above 30 and 35 years), lack of nutrition, weight gain and weight loss, psychological stress due to competition and high pressure jobs, environmental and occupational exposures, cigarette smoking, illicit drug use, and alcohol and caffeine consumption are putting a negative impact on the fertility of men and women.

Other than that, clinical factors such as PCOS, endometrial tuberculosis, low AMH in women and poor sperm quality in men are contributing to an increasing number of infertility cases.

In such a condition, knowledge about fertility health issues can only be an effective preventive measure.

* Minimise the exposure to toxic chemicals.

* Get a test done to rule out Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

* Avoid coffee, smoking and alcohol.

* Maintain a healthy lifestyle.

* Breakfast, lunch and dinner intake must be at the right time.

* Increase intake of juices and fruits.

* Replace junk food with nutritional choices.

* Exercise is the key to stay fit and lead a stress-free happy life.

* Leave work pressure in the office, avoid late night parties and TV, get sufficient sleep.

Apart from the above, egg freezing is a modern crusader that comes to the rescue of women who wish to get away from the race against their biological clock. Eggs from a female body are extracted and frozen or preserved to be used when she finally decides to embrace motherhood.
