KCR's TRS party projected to take lead in Telangana

India Today Axis has predicted K Chandrashekhar Rao's TRS to win the maximum number of seats in Telangana with estimates of 10-12 seats. The BJP is surprisingly expected to win a maximum of 3 seats. Even the Congress is expected to win 1-3 seats in the state.

Asaduddin Owaisi from the AIMIM is expected to win his seat from Hyderabad.

This is the first General Election in which Telangana would be contesting as an independent state. Telangana has a total of 17 seats in the Lok Sabha. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi had won 11 seats in Andhra Pradesh in the previous Lok Sabha Polls before Andhra Pradesh split into two states.

Today’s Chanakya has predicted also predicted a strong performance by the TRS and are predicted to win 14 seats. The Congress is predicted to win a single seat from the state while other parties including the BJP and the AIMIM are expected to win 2 seats from Telangana.

Republic CVoter has also predicted the TRS to win 14 seats while the Congress, BJP and AIMIM are expected to win a single seat from the state.

Chief Minister of Telangana, Chandrashekar Rao has been one of the active members voicing for the need of a third front in the country. He has met with Tamil Nadu leader of the opposition MK Stalin earlier this month leading to speculation about his party.
