<p>Hours after the Union Cabinet cleared 10% job and education quota for the “economically weaker section of the society”, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asked whether the decision is legally and constitutionally valid. Asking further she also said whether a government can cheat the people.</p>.<p>“First of all, I will be very happy if the weaker section of the society gets jobs. But my question is whether a government can cheat the people or the unemployed youth,” said the Chief Minister.</p>.<p>She also pointed out that of implemented Union Cabinet’s decision will take reservation in job and education beyond the 50% mark as specified by the Supreme Court in a judgment.</p>.<p>“ First they (Centre) they have to clarify whether it will be implemented or not, whether it is constitutional or not, whether it is legally valid or not and whether it is feasible or not,” said Banerjee.</p>.<p>She also said that her party Trinamool Congress (TMC) wants to see positive steps aimed towards the employment of the poor.</p>.<p>“ The reality is that unemployment is sky high. First, they have to settle the law...If satisfied we will support it,” said Banerjee.</p>
