<p>The Second Additional and Sessions Court has awarded rigorous life term imprisonment, along with slapping a fine of Rs 30,000, to a man on the charges of murdering his wife.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Pani Eravara Mani from Kadangamaruru near Virajpet is the accused. He is accused of burning his wife Mutti alive.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Mani was working in a coffee plantation in the village. On September 2, 2017, he picked a fight with Mutti and set her ablaze. Mutti succumbed to death, owing to serious burn injuries.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Rural Police registered a case and the accused was remanded in judicial custody. Virajpet Circle Inspector N Kumar filed a charge-sheet after conducting an inquiry.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Additional and Second Sessions Court Judge Rama, while pronouncing the judgement, awarded a rigorous life term imprisonment, along with imposing a fine of Rs 30,000. If the accused fails to pay the fine, he would undergo another two years of simple imprisonment. </p>
