Senior Congress leader and Chikkaballapur MP M Veerappa Moily has said that policy decisions can be taken only after taking approval of the co-ordination committee of both parties in a coalition system.

“There should a strong co-ordination committee comprising Congress and Janata Dal (S) leaders. Before any policy decision taken in the Cabinet, it should be approved by the co-ordination committee,” Moily told DH here.

Expressing the confidence that the sharing of portfolios among the two partner parties will be resolved soon, Moily said, “the coalition will not break down on small issues like sharing of key departments among partners. The allocation of Finance portfolio will not lead to break up of the alliance,” he added.

“In a coalition government, a spirit of broadmindedness and accommodation have to be there from both the parties. If there is proper understanding among both the parties, coalition will continue,” he said.
