AAP rallies behind Meira

 The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is likely to support joint Opposition candidate Meira Kumar in the Presidential poll.

A formal announcement is awaited, but sources said the AAP has conveyed to non-Congress parties that it would vote against NDA Presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind and stand by the Opposition, though it was not invited to the meeting to decide thecandidate.

Kejriwal had in April expressed willingness to join the Opposition in the fight against the BJP after a breakfast meeting with senior CPM leader Pinarayi Vijayan in the national capital, where he called for an alliance of “all good people”.
