BSP has warned its leaders, including the probable candidates in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls against having their pictures, which are equal or bigger in size than that of party supremo Mayawati, on their hoardings and posters.

The party has issued a detailed guideline to the LS nominees and other leaders to be followed during the campaigning in the forthcoming general elections.

''It has been observed that in the hoardings and posters put up by some leaders and LS probables their pictures are either equal to or bigger than that of behenji (Mayawati),'' said a party communique to the party leaders.

It warned that it would be considered to be an act of ''indiscipline'' and action would be taken against such leaders.

''The nominees can have pictures of BSP founder Kanshiram or the party's election symbol in their hoardings beside her (Mayawati),'' it went on to add.

The BSP guideline also instructed the party leaders and nominees to include the SP leaders in their public meetings. ''All senior local SP leaders should be invited to attend and address election rallies in the constituencies,'' it said.

BSP has not yet officially released its list of candidates in the forthcoming LS polls so far though some senior leaders had been unofficially conveyed about their nomination.

Sources said that SP president Akhilesh and Mayawati were likely to launch their election campaign immediately after the LS polls were notified by the Election Commission.
