'All systems under Modi rule are collapsing'

Last Updated 23 October 2018, 19:43 IST

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu referring to the issue of the credibility crisis in the CBI has said that the Modi government has messed up systems, institutions, centre state relations and the economy.

Addressing the media on the sidelines of Vizag Fintech Festival in Visakhapatanam on Tuesday, Naidu said that since independence most of the institutions saw their worst-ever lows under Prime Minister Modi's regime.

Naidu, who has severed ties with the BJP, said that institutions weren't destroyed to such an extent even during the Indira Gandhi's regime.

"The government of India has messed up everything. It's a very bad situation. They are messing up everything," he said, adding, "today you have seen how they are messing up with the CBI also. All the institutions are collapsing."

He further pointed out that the democracy is at stake today.

"Secularism is in danger. The economy has collapsed. The institutions were destroyed. The centre-state relations are deteriorated," he said.

Accusing the Modi government for the ill-prepared execution of demonetization, Naidu said that the common man was put to severe inconvenience and the digital transactions weren't made attractive vis-à-vis physical currency.

The recommendations that Naidu gave as the head of the digital currency panel weren't considered by the Union government towards making the digital currency transactions attractive.
