Chief Minister Raman Singh on Friday had to cancel his ongoing ‘Atal Vikas Yatra’ in Amlipadar of Gariyaband district as his helicopter could not land due to inclement weather.

He returned to Raipur and then reached Bagbahara as per his scheduled programme. It is the last leg of his first phase of the tour after its launch on September 5.

After reaching Bagbahara, the chief minister offered prayer in Chandi temple situated at Ghunchapali, Bagbahara in Mahasamund district.

Singh addressed a public rally in Baloda Bazar and said that the infrastructure in the state has improved after the BJP government came to power in Chhattisgarh. “Earlier one took three to four hours to reach here but with good roads now it only takes around one hour travel time,” he said.

The chief minister said that the BJP government’s rule in most of the states prove that the people are with the saffron party. “During the 60-year rule of the Congress development work was not undertaken and that is why today the party's presence in the country is only 7-8%,” the chief minister said.
