The government on Thursday asked the civil aviation regulator to file a report into the mid-air scare onboard a Jet Airways flight that left at least 30 passengers bleeding from their noses.

In a brief statement, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) also said that the crew of the Jet Airways flight from Mumbai to Jaipur on which the incident was reported was being de-rostered.

“MoCA has taken cognisance of the incident in flight 9W 697 earlier today (Thursday) and has requested Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to file its report immediately on the issue. The crew is being derostered,” the ministry stated.

Of the 166 people on board, 30 were affected and have been given treatment, the ministry added.
