Three killed in attack on TMC MLA's car in Bengal

Three persons including two Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers were killed when the vehicle of a Trinamool Congress ( TMC) MLA from South 24 Paraganas district was bombed by miscreants on Thursday night. However, the MLA was not in the vehicle when it was attacked.

The incident took place when the vehicle of Biswanath Das, TMC MLA of Jaynagar Assembly constituency was returning to Jaynagar after dropping Das to a party rally.

Suddenly a group of miscreants attacked the vehicle with bombs and fired indiscriminately. "The driver of the vehicle along with two other TMC workers died on the spot," an associate of the MLA told DH.

Police have reached the spot. However, no one has been arrested so far.
