Flipkart, Amazon mega sales kick off

Online shoppers are in for a big bonanza from Monday as two ecommerce giants Flipkart and Amazon are set to launch their much-awaited sales campaigns.

Flipkart's Big Shopping Days and Amazon India's Prime Day sales commencing on Monday are expected to drive a spending spree among Indian consumers.

Flipkart's 44-hour sales bonanza starts at 4 pm on Monday with a variety of offers and discounts up to 70% on select products. Amazon India is offering deals during the 36-hour Prime Day 2018 sale which begins on the same day.

Besides over 10,000 exclusive products across over 500 brands, Flipkart is also offering a chance to win rewards worth lakhs of rupees through contests running till July 19.

Flipkart customers can avail a 10% instant discount on their SBI credit cards. The country's largest ecommerce platform is also offering affordable shopping solutions such as No Cost EMIs with Bajaj Finserv EMI cards, EMI on debit cards, product exchange offers, buyback guarantee and cardless credit.

Amazon's Prime Day 2018 sale, which ends on July 17, is exclusive to Amazon Prime subscribers on products across various categories. It will give Prime members access to hundreds of top international Prime Day deals for the first time along with exclusive launches, best deals, blockbuster video titles and more.

The sale, which is the second edition in India and happening in 16 other countries simultaneously, will feature over 200 exclusive new product launches from top brands, small businesses and Indian startups.

The company also offers logistical benefits for the Prime subscribers like faster, one-day or two-day guaranteed delivery. Prime members can also make use of same-day or morning delivery to selected Indian pin codes.

To attract customers, Amazon is offering Prime subscribers a two-hour Express Day Delivery to select pin codes in select cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and Hyderabad.

Amazon Prime member Veena Anyan told DH that it gives her 30-minute early access to top Lightning Deals every day. "Here I can choose the Prime Early Access filter when I go for various products and day's deals," she said.
