JOIN USThe Gujarat unit of the Congress party has decided to launch a non-governmental organisation (NGO) called Gujarat Jansangarsh Sena which will address issues affecting the common man.
The Congress claimed that the NGO will be a non-political platform and there will be no leader from the rank and file of the party.
Speaking about the NGO, Leader of the Opposition Shankersinh Vaghela said, “Prominent citizens and representatives of NGOs would be part of this.’’
He said when political party raises it from a platform, people’s issues die down but with this platform, the concerns of the common man, would be the primary agenda and it will go on to become a movement.
Vaghela said that they have already spoken to about 10-12 NGOs which are working on issues concerning common man to be part of the NGO. Similar efforts would be undertaken by party units in other parts of the state.
