KCR continues tirade against Naidu, calls him iron leg

Last Updated 09 November 2018, 12:23 IST

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao continued his tirade against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for the third consecutive day at an election campaign in Vanaparthi of former Mahbubnagar district on Friday, calling him “Iron Leg” meaning cursed in local slang.

Going a step ahead from where he left in Nalgonda, he said the Congress is trying to bring back Naidu to Telangana through the grand alliance. “Naidu is an iron leg, wherever he sets his foot the greenery will turn into a desert,” KCR said.
Ridiculing the Congress for sharing seats with Naidu, KCR said that he would have given a few seats to the Congress just to save Telangana from Naidu.
Unveiling his strategy to tackle early elections, KCR was determined to bring back the pre-bifurcation mood, by targeting Andhra leaders and the alleged exploitation of the resources in Telangana and unequal development of the region. Warning Naidu that he could reopen the “Note or Vote” case, KCR said that he never targeted Naidu.
“Whose voice is that in those tapes where Naidu’s henchman Revanth Reddy was giving cash to TRS MLA, is it not Naidu’s voice,” he questioned.
He urged people to defeat the Congress and its alliance in all the 12 seats in the district and attributed the backwardness of the state to Jawaharlal Nehru and Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. “YSR is a cruel man who took away Krishna water through Pothyreddypadu head regulator,” he recalled.

Naidu hurt

Meanwhile, responding to the scathing attack on him by KCR, Naidu said that he saw the hand of the BJP in the sudden outburst of KCR.
“Is it wrong to say that all the Telugus must stay united; is it wrong to develop IT in Hyderabad, is this the way to repay for what I have done as CM of combined state,” Naidu rued in Tirupati.
“KCR please don’t attack me at the behest of Narendra Modi. I have never used such harsh language against anyone, including my sworn enemies like you have,” an upset Naidu said.
Naidu said the Union government is using investigation agencies for political vendetta. “I see a pattern in cases against opposition leaders, cases on TTD, and demand for separate Rayalaseema as gameplan of the BJP-led forces.
