In view of Astabandhana Balalaya Maha Samprokshanam in Tirumala temple from August 11 to 16, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will dispense tokens for darshan from Thursday midnight.

The Footpath, sarva darshan and Rs 300 tokens will not be issued from Thursday midnight till the midnight of August 16.

Meanwhile, on Friday Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju along with other officials conducted a review, in detail, on the arrangements made for the Maha Samprokshanam, which commences with Ankurarpanam on Saturday.

The review meeting took place at Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala with Temple, Vigilance, Vaikuntham and IT officials.

in view of the anticipated pilgrim-crowd during these days, the JEO directed officers concerned to be alert.

"The releasing of compartments in Vaikuntham Queue Complex should be as per our drawn schedule. Every one of us should keep in mind that the importance is for rituals during these days and accordingly the pilgrims will be provided darshan within the limited time space available. We need to execute our duties with complete preparedness without causing inconvenience either to pilgrims or to the rituals", he said.

It is expected that 30,000 to 35,000 devotees will be allowed for darshan in these days.

Meanwhile, on a petition filed by a devotee seeking live telecast of the Maha Samprokshanam, a High Court bench in Hyderabad has posted the matter for hearing on Monday.

The TTD in its counter affidavit has submitted the Agama Report to the High Court stating that live telecast or recording through CC cameras of certain rituals is not permitted.

However, the petitioner demanded telecast of rituals outside the sanctum sanctorum.
