The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out searches on the residences of associates of alleged terror suspect Abdul Basith who is charge-sheeted by the agency in the Abu Dhabi ISIS module case. These searches were conducted at least in several places in the Mylardevpalli area of the city here from 8 am on Saturday morning based on the information provided by Basith.
The National agency’s move came two months after a supplementary charge sheet was filed against two Hyderabad based alleged ISI suspects in the Abu Dhabi module case. NIA sleuths took Basith's associate, Taha and two more into custody from Kings Colony of Sastripuram. Taha a native of Karnataka is said be living in the colony from past six months along with his wife. The suspects were taken to the NIA office in Madapur where they have been questioned.

Basith was arrested in 2018 and earlier in February with another suspect Abdul Qadeer who was charge-sheeted by the agency at Patiala House court of Delhi. NIA investigation revealed that Basith was involved in the plan to murder an RSS leader in New Delhi.

The charge sheet revealed that he was directed by the ISIS which has also arranged for an AK 47 assault rifle and four more young men to implement the plan. However, with the group failing to bump off the RSS leader, Basith returned to Hyderabad.
