Congress on Wednesday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Supreme Court dismissed government's objection over admitting certain "classified" documents as evidence in the Rafale case.

"Modiji, you can run and lie as much as you want, but sooner or later the truth comes out," Congress chief spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala said.

"The skeletons in Rafale Scam are tumbling out one by one. And now there is ‘no official secrets act’ to hide behind," Surjewala said minutes after the Supreme Court rejected the Modi government's plea against allowing the use of classified documents "stolen" and "illegally photocopied" as evidence in the Rafale case.

Surjewala said the apex Court had upheld a time honoured legal principle.

"Don’t worry Modiji, an investigation is going to take place now, whether you like it or not," he said.
