The Monsoon Session of Parliament will get off to a stormy start on Wednesday with the Modi government staring at two notices on motion of no confidence moved by 12 Opposition parties and the TDP.

Addressing a press conference here, Mallikarjun Kharge, the Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha said 12 Opposition parties have agreed to bring a no confidence motion against the Modi government to raise issues ranging from mob lynching to agrarian distress and foreign affairs.

Kharge made it clear that the no confidence motion planned by the 12 Opposition parties was separate from that of the TDP, which is seeking to corner the government over granting special category status to Andhra Pradesh.

TDP member Kesineni Srinivas has submitted a notice seeking to move a no confidence motion against the council of ministers.

Kharge and leaders of other Opposition parties have submitted a notice to move a no confidence motion against the council of ministers.

He also listed out 11"common issues" agreed upon by 12 of the 16 like-minded Opposition parties who attended the meeting convened by Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad, on Monday evening.

Kharge made it clear that the Opposition parties want to support the government in the functioning of the house, but put the ball in the NDA's court on taking them into confidence.

Azad also voiced concern over the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha television channels blacking out Opposition leaders while broadcasting proceedings of both the Houses
