Passenger trains cancelled on Kollam-Ernakulam section

Southern Railways today announced cancellation/partial cancellation of some passenger trains on the Kollam-Ernakulam section as construction work for a subway between Kayankulam and Ochira stations will commence tomorrow.

While Ernakulam Junction- Kollam Junction MEMU service leaving Ernakulam at 19.30 hrs would be cancelled tomorrow, the Kollam-Ernakulam Junction Passenger via Kottayam, leaving Kollam at 04.20 hrs on May 11 has been cancelled.

The Kollam-Alappuzha Passenger, leaving Kollam at 03.25 hrs will remain cancelled on May 13, a railway release said.

Railways also announced partial cancellation of the Ernakulam-Kollam Passenger via Kottayam, leaving Ernakulam at 18.00 hrs, between Kayankulam and Kollam stations tomorrow.

The Kollam- Kottayam Passenger leaving Kollam at 07.55 hrs would be partially cancelled between Kollam and Kayankulam stations on May 11, it said.

The Kollam-Ernakulam Junction passenger via Kottayam, leaving Kollam at 04.20hrs is likely to be detained at Ochira station for 40 minutes on May 13.

Nagercoil Junction- Mangalore Ernad Express is likely to be detained at Ochira station  for 30 minutes on May 13.
